Issued to mark the 7th Military World Games hosted by Wuhan in October 2019 — the largest military sports event China had ever organized, involving over 9,000 athletes from more than 100 nations. The Games took place roughly six weeks before the first COVID-19 cases were identified in the same city, a proximity that later attracted considerable international scrutiny.
