| Obverse description | Printed in red on the original 1 Yuan note, the obverse carries a central vignette of a rural scene with a worker sawing wood and rice paddy fields in the background, framed by floral cartouches. Red overprint reading '伍圓' (5 Yuan) appears in vertical panels at left and right, with the bank title '江淮銀行' (Kiang Hwai Bank) inscribed at the top. A rectangular chop overprint appears at the lower centre, revaluing the note from 1 Yuan to 5 Yuan. |
