| Reverse description | Central design features a large ancient Chinese bronze ritual urn (zun) of the Shang or Zhou dynasty period, depicted in fine detail with decorative relief banding and taotie motifs on the vessel's body. Flanking the urn in the lower field are figural scenes of craftsmen and laborers engaged in the casting and working of bronze vessels, rendered in a narrative frieze style. The denomination '5' and currency unit '元' appear at lower right. An inscription in Chinese characters at upper left references the ancient bronze civilization series. |
