The date inscription 中華民國三十年印 appears at the base of the central vignette, with red serial numbers at upper left and lower right. |

BANK OF COMMUNICATIONS is lettered in a panel at the top, while FIVE YUAN appears in a decorative cartouche at the bottom centre with the year 1941 below it. Arabic numeral 5 occupies circular guilloche medallions at each corner, and two facsimile signatures are printed beneath the central vignette, with AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY imprinted at the foot. |
