| Obverse description | The central intaglio vignette presents a steam locomotive advancing head-on along a railway track, enclosed within a rectangular frame of ornate scroll borders and multicolour guilloche rosettes in the left and right fields. The bank title 行銀通交 is inscribed across the top in Chinese characters, with large denomination characters 伍圓 flanking the vignette on either side. The date inscription 中華民國三十年印 appears at the base of the central vignette, with red serial numbers at upper left and lower right. |
