| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a central intaglio portrait of Sun Yat-sen in three-quarter view, set against a fine guilloche underprint in rose-pink tones. The bank title 行銀國中 is inscribed in large Chinese characters across the upper register, with the denomination 圓伍 flanking the portrait on either side, and the denomination character 伍 repeated in each corner within ornamental panels. The lower margin carries the date of issue rendered in Chinese numerals, 中華民國三十年印, completing the composition within an elaborate repeating border. |

| Reverse description | The reverse, printed in rose-pink, centres on an oval intaglio vignette of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, executed in fine line engraving.
