| Obverse description | Blue-grey letterpress print on a light ground. The central vignette shows a soldier standing at the Great Wall, holding a rifle and looking through binoculars, with a section of the Wall extending into the background. Denomination numerals in Chinese characters appear in floral cartouches at left and right, with the bank name 華中銀行 inscribed across the top and two red seal impressions at lower centre. The date 中華民國三十五年 (Republic of China Year 35) appears along the lower border. |

| Reverse description | Printed in violet-brown tones, the reverse is covered entirely by a dense geometric guilloche underprint composed of interlocking lattice and rosette patterns. The large numeral 5 occupies the central octagonal guilloche medallion, flanked by denomination panels and further ornamental rosettes in each corner. No pictorial vignette is present; the design relies wholly on fine-line security printing. |
