Reverse description The central device depicts the Sino-Korean Friendship Tower (中朝友谊塔) in Pyongyang, rendered in fine detail with its characteristic tiered stone obelisk rising above a traditional Korean-style gate pavilion. Flanking the monument are the national flags of China (left, bearing five stars) and North Korea (right, bearing a red star within a white circle), both displayed on crossed staffs. At the base, decorative floral sprays are symmetrically arranged. A legend in Chinese characters arcs along the upper field, and the denomination 5 WON appears in Latin script along the lower rim.
