The truncation of the neck is clean and unadorned, with a small six-pointed star positioned in the lower field beneath the bust. 附加信息

Ferdinando II took the Neapolitan throne in 1830 at twenty years old and almost immediately set about reorganizing the kingdom's copper coinage, which had become a chaotic mix of degraded earlier issues and emergency pieces. The 5 Tornesi series that followed ran through the 1830s as the workhorse denomination for daily commerce in one of Europe's most densely populated kingdoms — and suffered accordingly in circulation.

The 1837 cholera epidemic, which killed roughly 60,000 in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies alone, created severe disruptions to trade and mint operations at Naples. Coins from those years often show accelerated wear patterns attributable to continued heavy use despite reduced economic activity.
