Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic legend within a beaded inner circle, the inscription identifying Sultan Ahmad Shah Qajar as sovereign. The date 1332 (AH) appears at the base of the central cartouche. The entire central device is framed by an elegant wreath composed of oak branches to the left and olive or laurel branches to the right, tied with a ribbon bow at the base and surmounted by leafy sprigs at the apex. A fine toothed border encircles the entire design.
