| Reverse description | Central square perforation with a raised square border, flanked by four Chữ Hán characters in the four cardinal positions around the hole. Reading clockwise from the top: 富 (Phú, wealth) above, 多 (Đa, abundance) to the right, 壽 (Thọ, longevity) below, and 男 (Nam, male heirs) to the left, together forming the auspicious four-character phrase 富多男壽 (Phú Đa Nam Thọ), meaning 'wealth, abundance, male heirs, and longevity.' The deeply incised characters are executed in a bold brushwork style on a smooth, unadorned field, enclosed within a raised circular rim consistent with Nguyễn dynasty gold coinage. |
