Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Hesse-Cassel, topped by an elaborate electoral crown and supported on each side by decorative mantle drapery. The shield displays multiple quarterings including lions and cross-hatched fields characteristic of the Hessian dynastic arms. Olive or laurel branches flank the base of the shield. The denomination 5 THALER appears in the upper field arching above the crown, and the date 1817 is inscribed in the exergue below the shield, all within a beaded border.
