Aanvullende informatie

Hannover's gold coinage of this period sits at an awkward intersection of dynastic loyalty and military occupation. George III held the title King of Hanover in name, but the Electorate — elevated to a Kingdom by Napoleon in 1807 and handed to his brother Jérôme — had only just been restored to British control following the Peninsular campaigns. These pieces were struck during the window between French withdrawal and the Congress of Vienna's formal settlement, when Hanoverian monetary administration was being rebuilt almost from scratch.

The Fr#619 designation places this squarely in Friedberg's German States listings, where survivors appear with some regularity despite the compressed three-year emission window.
