Obverse description Equestrian portrait of Duke George of Brunswick-Lüneburg, bareheaded and clad in armor, riding left while holding a baton or staff in his right hand. The composition is framed by an elaborate baroque cartouche at the top, while a detailed mining landscape — referencing the Harz mountain silver production — occupies the lower register. The numeral indicating the denomination value is punched into the field beneath the horse. The surrounding legend in German runs along the coin's periphery.
