Obverse description Portrait vignette of Qurmanġazı Saġırbayulı (1818–1889), the celebrated Kazakh composer and dombyra player, rendered in intaglio to the right of centre, the subject wearing a traditional fur papakha hat and holding his instrument. A large numeral '5' guilloche underprint occupies the left-centre field, with the denomination in Kazakh lettering below and the issuing bank name across the middle register. A rosette guilloche medallion bearing the numeral '5' appears at lower left, and a repeating Kazakh geometric ornamental border frames the note on the right; a vertical band at far left carries the bank name in Cyrillic.

Reverse description Intaglio vignette of the mausoleum complex of Qurmanġazı Saġırbayulı, rendered across the left and central fields in warm terracotta tones, with stepped stone structures, grave markers, and a conical turret set against a distant landscape. A large numeral '5' appears to the right of the architectural scene, flanked by a pink guilloche panel with circular ornamental motifs and the State Emblem of Kazakhstan within a circular cartouche at upper right. A rosette guilloche medallion with the numeral '5' is positioned at lower right, and a decorative foliate border runs along the top and bottom edges.
