| Obverse description | The obverse features the coat of arms of Samoa prominently in the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a palm tree over ocean waves and five stars of the Southern Cross, superimposed on a globe and encircled by olive branches, surmounted by a radiant Latin cross. A ribbon scroll beneath the shield carries the national motto FA'AVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA (God be the Foundation of Samoa). The legend SAMOA · 2024 arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by the inscriptions 2 TROY OUNCE to the left and 999 FINE SILVER to the right, both reading vertically. The denomination 5 TALA appears in large incuse lettering at the base of the field. The entire design is bordered by a raised beaded inner rim. |
