| Obverse description | The obverse features a circular inset coin at the upper center of the shaped flan, struck in gold-plated silver with a prooflike finish. The coin displays the Samoan state coat of arms at center, surrounded by the legend SAMOA 2026 along the upper arc and the inscription FAAVAE I LE ATUA SAMOA along the lower arc. A bald eagle is depicted displayed with wings outstretched, grasping an olive branch in its right talon and a bundle of thirteen arrows in its left. The eagle bears a shield of thirteen vertical stripes on its breast and holds in its beak a ribbon inscribed E PLURIBUS UNUM. Above the eagle's head, a glory of thirteen stars is arranged within a circular glory atop a radiant disc. The entire composition is rendered in gold-plated relief against the shaped flan, replicating the iconic form of the national seal with bold numismatic craftsmanship. |
