Bangladesh's paper 5 Taka notes have been issued by the Government — not Bangladesh Bank — since the denomination was transferred to government authority decades ago, a distinction that matters: government-issued taka carry the Finance Secretary's signature rather than the central bank governor's, an arrangement unusual enough that it occasionally confuses collectors unfamiliar with the split issuing structure.
The P#64A series runs across nearly a decade of issue dates with only minor variations between them, making date runs a legitimate collecting focus for this type.
