Obverse description Central device comprises a sheaf of wheat stalks, a curved sickle, and a linden branch tied together with a ribbon, all rendered in low relief against a plain field. The date 1920 appears in the lower exergue area. The circular legend REPUBLIKA·CESKOSLOVENSKA arcs around the upper periphery in Latin script, referencing the newly founded Republic of Czechoslovakia. The composition is emblematic of agricultural and national motifs favored in early Czechoslovak coinage design. The engraving style reflects the refined Art Deco influence characteristic of Otakar Španiel's work.
