Reverse description The celebrated St. George and the Dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci, depicting the armoured figure of St. George on horseback, slaying the dragon with a broken lance and sword, the dragon shown prostrate beneath the horse's hooves. The exergue bears the engraver's name PISTRUCCI, the date 2020, and the privy mark GR, the latter commemorating the bicentenary of the death of King George III. The composition retains the classical neoclassical style established by Pistrucci for the sovereign series.
