The effigy is rendered in moderate relief with fine detail in the periwig curls and cuirass. A beaded inner border frames the design. The encircling Latin legend reads CAR. EM. D. G. REX SAR. CYP. ET. IER., identifying the monarch as King of Sardinia, Cyprus and Jerusalem by divine grace.
