Obverse description Central field displays a snow lion passant to the right within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by an elaborate foliate and cloud scroll border in the Tibetan artistic tradition. The lion, a traditional symbol of Tibetan sovereignty, is depicted with a turned head and stylized mane. Flanking the central motif, Tibetan script legends are arranged around the border within the scrollwork, reading the Ganden Palace victory inscription. The entire design is enclosed by an outer beaded border running along the coin's rim.
