Reverse description The reverse presents a finely engraved central vignette, set within a circular scalloped border of dark ink, portraying Daikoku, the Japanese god of wealth, seated atop bales of rice and holding a mallet, rendered in detailed intaglio line engraving. The surrounding field is plain cream-toned paper with a subtle floral diaper underprint, and an orange-red rectangular seal in kanji script appears at the lower left. The restrained composition places full visual emphasis on the mythological figure.
