Beschrijving voorzijde	Intaglio portrait of Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda in suit and tie at left, with a central vignette of two fishermen casting a net from a wooden boat on a calm lake, rocky shoreline visible in the background. A multicolour guilloche oval underprint carries the promise-to-pay text at centre, with denomination numerals '5/-' repeated in the upper and lower corners.
