正面描述 Central motif of a stylised double cornucopia overflowing with fruit and grain, bound at the base with a flowing ribbon; the horns curve gracefully downward to meet at a pendant ribbon end in the lower field. To the upper left, the official State of Israel emblem — a menorah flanked by two olive branches with the Hebrew legend YISRAEL — is depicted in low relief. The trilingual country name legend curves along the lower rim and right side of the field in Hebrew, Arabic, and Latin scripts.

附加信息

Israel's monetary system was in crisis during these years. Inflation reached 445% in 1984 and was accelerating toward the hyperinflationary peak of 1985, when the government launched the Economic Stabilization Plan that effectively ended the sheqel and introduced the new sheqel at a rate of 1,000 to 1. This coin was rendered obsolete not by wear but by monetary collapse, which is why survivors are typically found in respectable condition — purchasing power evaporated before the metal could.
