Obverse description Central round hole surrounded by six magatama (curved jewel) motifs arranged in a circular wreath pattern within an inner ring. The denomination in kanji (五錢) appears flanking the central hole. A beaded border runs along the outer rim. The overall design is geometric and stylized, reflecting the modernist aesthetic of Shōwa-era Japanese coinage.
