| 表面の説明 | Central field displays the papal arms of the Sede Vacante period: an oval shield bearing the traditional horizontal banded design charged with a six-petalled rosette, surmounted by the papal tiara with triregnum and topped by a small cross finial. The shield is flanked by the crossed Keys of Saint Peter and framed by pendant ecclesiastical tassels arranged in triangular formations on either side. The circular legend reading SEDE VACANTE MDCCCXXXXVI arcs around the upper periphery, with the engraver's signature R. NIC. C. appearing in the lower field. The coin is struck within a finely milled border. |

The circular legend NON RELINQVAM VOS ORPHANOS arcs around the full periphery, beginning at lower left and continuing to lower right, all within a milled border. |
