Obverse description The obverse features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, depicted centrally with three lions passant visible atop the Abacus, which bears the Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and a horse in relief. Immediately below the capital, the national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate) is inscribed in Devanagari script. The denomination '₹ 5' appears prominently in the lower field, with the country name 'भारत' in Devanagari along the left arc and 'INDIA' in Latin along the right arc of the legend.
