The Government of India undertake to pay him, on presentation of this Certificate at the aforesaid Post Office on or after the XXXXXXXXX Rs. or at any earlier date after the expiry of twelve months the sum not exceeding Rs. specified on the reverse of this Certificate as due on such date. | Reverse description | Purple letterpress reverse headed 'RECEIPT ON DISCHARGE' within a guilloche panel, with Ashoka Lion Capital emblems at upper corners and numeral '5' in decorative cartouches at each side. A printed table lists the 10-year certificate maturity schedule from investment through ten years, with corresponding rupee-anna values. The lower portion carries a discharge receipt with fields for amount paid, holder signature or thumb impression, and date, beneath a note advising holders to record their serial number. |
