Obverse description Central yantra (sacred geometric diagram) composed of an interlocking square framework adorned with auspicious Hindu symbols including a sun, conch shell, lotus flower, trident, and other ritual objects arranged in the cardinal and diagonal fields. A small trident occupies the central circle of the yantra. The royal name and titles of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev are inscribed in Devanagari script within the compartments of the yantra, with the Vikram Samvat date 2053 prominently displayed at the base. The coin's border is decorated with a continuous row of beads.
