| Obverse description | Central field displays the traditional Nepalese square cartouche design, subdivided into panels containing the royal name and titles of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev in Devanagari script. The legend 'श्री ५ वीरेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह देव' is distributed across the panels, with the Bikram Sambat date '२०४३' (2043 VS) rendered in the lower portion. The design is framed by ornate decorative borders with foliate and floral embellishments, all enclosed within a beaded outer border. |
