Obverse description At right, an oval vignette of King George V is set within a window, surmounted by an octagonal frame bearing the inscription FIVE RUPEES; denomination numerals appear at top left, top right, and bottom left. The lower centre carries a signature panel with microlettering of '5' worked into a floral guilloche pattern, with an underprint reading 'Rs FIVE Rs' beneath the signature line.
