Nepal Rastra Bank shifted the issuing authority text on this note mid-run — early printings under Rawal read "Sri 5 Ko Sarkarko" while later Bhattarai-signed examples were updated to "Nepal Sarkarko," reflecting the abolition of the royal honorific as political pressure on the monarchy intensified through the mid-2000s. Three distinct signature and text combinations exist within what catalog references treat as a single Pick number, making variety attribution the only meaningful distinction between specimens.

Perum Peruri has printed Nepalese notes since 1971, an arrangement that has outlasted multiple constitutional changes in both countries.
