| 备注 |
Nepal Rastra Bank has issued a long succession of 5 Rupee notes through De La Rue, and this 2002 issue sits in the middle of that unbroken relationship — the British firm has printed Nepalese currency almost continuously since the bank's earliest note series. The watermark is the sole mechanical security feature, modest even by the standards of low-denomination notes from this period.
Nepal's 5 Rupee denomination has historically seen heavy rural circulation, with high attrition rates from humidity and handling in the Terai lowlands.
