Reverse description The reverse is dominated by an elaborate dark maroon guilloche rosette at left enclosing a large numeral '5' with the word 'FIVE' above and 'RUPEES' below, set against a light green geometric lathe-work border. The central panel carries the denomination in eight Indian regional scripts arranged in columns, including Urdu, Devanagari, Bengali, Burmese, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Gurmukhi. A circular Reserve Bank of India seal vignette occupies the right cartouche, with 'RESERVE BANK OF INDIA' and 'FIVE RUPEES' inscribed in English along the top and bottom registers respectively.
