| Opmerkingen |
Ceylon's Government Currency notes of this period were issued under the Currency Ordinance of 1884, which kept paper money under direct government control rather than delegating it to a commercial bank — an arrangement that persisted until the Central Bank of Ceylon was established in 1950. De La Rue supplied the printed sheets to Colombo, where signature pairs were applied according to the incumbent officers of the Currency Department.
The three-year span here produced two distinct signature combinations: Blake and Woods covered 1925–1926, then J. Smith replaced Woods in 1927. Notes bearing the Blake/Smith pairing are the least commonly encountered of the three date varieties.
