Obverse description At centre, the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar depicted in high relief, showing three lions passant gardant atop an abacus with a Dharma Chakra, resting on a lotus-bell base. The national motto सत्यमेव जयते (Satyameva Jayate) is inscribed in Devanagari script in the lower field beneath the capital. The legend भारत appears to the left and INDIA to the right of the central device, both reading upward along the inner rim. Notably, this error mule obverse die omits the denomination entirely.
