| Opmerkingen |
Semireche — the "Seven Rivers" region of what is now southeastern Kazakhstan — was among the most isolated theaters of the Russian Civil War. Cut off from reliable currency supplies, the local administration issued its own emergency notes in 1918, backed by nothing more than the authority of whoever happened to control Vernyi (present-day Almaty) at the time. These notes changed ideological hands more than once as White and Red forces swept through the region.
S1116 is among the scarcer Semireche locals. The sheer distance from any major printing center meant production was crude and runs were small.
