| Obverse description | The arms of Orenburg appear at left as a vignette, with the heading ДЕНЕЖНЫЙ ЗНАКЪ (Money Token) across the top and the issuer's name — Оренбургское Отделение Государственного Банка — immediately below. A central text panel carries the legal notice regarding acceptance and counterfeiting penalties, with the large numeral 5 and the denomination РУБЛЕЙ at right.
