| Aanvullende informatie |
Part of the Bank of Russia's long-running "Cities of Military Glory" and historic capitals series, this issue commemorates Bratislava, whose capture by Soviet forces in April 1945 was completed in roughly two days of urban fighting. The operation, conducted by the 2nd Ukrainian Front under Malinovsky, cut off German forces retreating from Vienna and effectively ended Axis control over Slovakia.
