| Obverse description | The coin is struck in square format with rounded corners, oriented as a rotated rhombus (diamond orientation). At the centre of the obverse is the State Emblem of the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic, depicting a Soviet-style coat of arms featuring a hammer and sickle surmounted by a five-pointed star, flanked by sheaves of wheat and a grape vine, with a ribbon bearing the initials PMR and RMN. The date 2011 appears below the emblem, and the denomination 5 РУБЛЕЙ is inscribed along the lower edge, flanked by ornamental dots.
