Obverse description The central field displays the Imperial Russian coat of arms — a double-headed eagle — surrounded by four subsidiary shields bearing the coats of arms of the Tsardoms of Moscow (top), Astrakhan (left), Kazan (right), and Siberia (bottom). The entire composition is surmounted by an imperial crown. The denomination and date appear as a legend along the lower portion of the obverse, reading ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ 1804 ГОДА.
