正面描述 Central field bears the state emblem of Ajman, flanked by bilingual legends. The Arabic inscription reading 'حُكُومَة عجمَان وَتوابعُهَا' (Government of Ajman and Its Dependencies) arches across the upper portion, punctuated by two stars, while the English equivalent 'GOVERNMENT OF AJMAN & ITS DEP' runs along the lower arc. The numeral '٥' (5) in Arabic appears prominently above the emblem in the upper field. A fine beaded border frames the entire design.

附加信息

Ajman, the smallest and least populous of the Trucial States, issued a flood of commemorative coins in the late 1960s and early 1970s with almost no intention of circulation — these pieces were produced primarily for the international collector market, a revenue strategy common among the smaller Gulf sheikhdoms before the formation of the UAE in 1971. This Hammarskjöld issue appeared nearly a decade after his death in a 1961 plane crash over Northern Rhodesia, a disaster that remains officially unresolved; a 2019 UN inquiry found fresh evidence suggesting the aircraft may have been shot down.
