Beschrijving voorzijde	Intaglio portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah I in military dress uniform at right, set against a fine guilloche underprint in green and multicolour. The denomination "LIMA RINGGIT / FIVE DOLLARS" appears in bold letterpress at centre, with a decorative mosaic vignette below bearing the Sultan's manuscript signature and the inscription "KELUARAN SERIES" with the issue year. Numeral "5" cornerpieces and an ornate lace-pattern border frame the design.
