5 Rigsdaler Nationalbanken, stamped serial number, no impressed stamps

Henrik Olrik designed the engraved plates for this series, but the work of cutting them was executed by the Royal Danish Mint's workshop — an unusual arrangement that kept the production largely in-house at a time when most Scandinavian issuers were contracting out to British or Continental printers. The stamped serial number variant sits between the earliest hand-numbered examples and later fully mechanized issues, reflecting the bank's incremental modernization of its production controls during the early 1870s.

The absence of impressed (embossed) stamps distinguishes this from the more common P#A62A issues and is the key diagnostic when attributing the type.
