| Obverse description | Green and multicolour note with a three-quarter-face portrait of Reza Shah Pahlavi in military uniform and peaked cap at left, set within a circular guilloche frame. To the right, a large dark ornate cartouche contains the numeral 5 in Persian script flanked by the denomination in Arabic lettering, set against an elaborate green guilloche underprint with floral and paisley motifs. Numeral 5 corner pieces appear at all four corners, and the bank title in Persian nastaliq script is printed in the upper centre. |
