Obverse description Central field features the large Eastern Arabic numeral '5' above the denomination inscription 'ریال' (Rial), all enclosed within an open wreath of oak and olive branches tied at the base. The Persian Solar Hijri date appears in the exergue below the wreath. Reverse description Central device depicts the Imperial Iranian lion passant, facing right and brandishing an upright sword in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun emerging from its back — the traditional emblem of Persia. Below the central device, the denomination legend 'پنج ریال' (Five Rial) is inscribed in two lines within the lower field inside the wreath.
