Obverse description The obverse is printed in rose-red tones with an intricate guilloche underprint at centre. A vignette of an ancient lion head sculpture appears at left, rendered in intaglio. Reverse description The reverse is executed in deep rose-red with a large oval guilloche panel at left serving as the watermark window. At right, an intaglio vignette of the ancient Timna lion sculpture — a striding lion with a human figure — is rendered in fine detail. The denomination numeral '5' appears at both upper corners, with the English legend at top and the value inscription at centre within a decorative cartouche.
