Opmerkingen

Metallwerke Holleischen GmbH was a munitions factory in Holýšov, occupied Czechoslovakia, operating under SS administration and staffed largely by forced labor — predominantly Jewish women transferred from concentration camps. This note is camp money in the strictest sense: scrip issued not to a civilian workforce but to prisoners whose "wages" could only be spent within a controlled internal economy, creating the bureaucratic fiction of compensation while preventing any real economic agency.

The Holleischen scrip series is documented but not common. The factory was evacuated in a death march westward in April 1945 as American forces advanced.
