Obverse description The German Imperial Eagle displayed with wings spread and head turned to the right occupies the center of the field, rendered in bold relief with fine feather detailing on the breast and wings. The eagle stands on a plain ground, with the mint mark 'A' (Berlin) positioned directly below in the lower field. A circular legend in Gothic (Fraktur) script surrounds the design, reading 'DEUTSCHES REICH' in the upper arc and '5 REICHSMARK' in the lower arc, with all lettering executed in the distinctive blackletter style characteristic of Weimar-era coinage.
